On the 26th of June, a major disaster drill took place in the old Sánchez Aguilera barracks in Ferrol, an activity included in the training program of the Briegal rescue group. The exercise consisted of a search and rescue work during 12 hours in an uninterrupted way in which the groups are placed at the service of the Command Post, which coordinates their actions in different work sites.

The following tasks were carried out:

  • Confined space rescue
  • Search and rescue in confined spaces
  • Apontoaments
  • Vertical rescue using lanyards
  • Rescue in vehicles
  • Rescue by cutting and penetration in horizontal and vertical elements

On the one hand, our team continues to strengthen its rescue capabilities and on the other hand, we share work dynamics with other groups, always positive to learn other dynamics and to improve coordination if necessary.
