The NGO Briegal has been awarded a grant by the Xunta de Galicia under the 2026 call for microprojects for development cooperation abroad.
This funding will support the implementation of the microproject “Cross-border strengthening of emergency management in the face of floods and flash floods in the southern regions of Peru, with the participation of teams from Bolivia. Phase II”, to be carried out in Peru. The project aims to strengthen emergency response capacities in flood and flash flood situations, while promoting cross-border coordination and the participation of Bolivian teams in training, preparedness, and operational improvement activities.
The initiative is aligned with Briegal’s commitment to international cooperation, risk reduction, and capacity-building in vulnerable contexts. The grant awarded by the Xunta de Galicia makes this action possible and will be implemented in accordance with the objectives and conditions established in the grant resolution and the call’s regulatory bases.
Briegal would like to thank the Xunta de Galicia for its support for this project, which will help continue improving emergency response and cooperation between specialized teams and territories.
