24-hour drill

Last Saturday, March 23rd, we conducted a joint exercise with Casaga in order to further strengthen our operational capabilities. In the abandoned village of Urdiales de Colinas, Igüeña, assumptions were put into practice to improve specific aspects of search and rescue operations based on Insarag standards, so that all our efforts can be integrated in the coordination of international operations in the event of a catastrophe. Logistical self-sufficiency and operational search and rescue techniques (assessment, security, location, securing, penetration and extraction of victims from the assigned work site) were put to the test through the activities proposed during 24 hours.

During the daytime, colleagues from the NGO Acción Norte joined the activities and were able to share and pool different techniques and work procedures.
